Lithium batteries unreliable?

Been using this for a few weeks with same battery as above, I taped the seam. So far so good!

I thought about opening up my new AG1201 and potting it myself. I have Potted some other custom electronics ive setup on jetskis before. But wasnt sure if there would be thermal issues with doing it around the batteries.

Been reading lots of these threads on lithium batteries.

Are they now safe to use with an OEM charging system? Not sure if the yamaha system can kick out over 15 volts

They seem to work fine for me on a charging system but probably better suited for TL where it gets drained and then charged back to full.

idk theres about a dozen charging setups in our riding group with lithium batteries with no more issues then the total loss setups
