Any chance we can just adjust the high and low speeds on the factory carb? If not, is it worth changing the jets or would a new carb be a better consideration?
No, you need to rejet. I thought someone said above that the jetscome with the pipe but mine came from jetworks and i did not get jetting with mine. I bought my jets from jetmaniac.
Stock jetting on a superjet is 70/130 @ 52psi
Many people run the b-pipe at 75/135 @ 42psi
Bad boys racing has my limited at 75/140@18psi. My boat runs amazing, but it can load up some in heavy surf and fouls plugs more often because it is so rich in the mid range, but it can held wot indefinately.
I dont think you should change carbs on a stock motor unless money is no object to you. Larger carbs will yield little results and burn tons more fuel. It is an option, but lots of us stock motor guys run stock 38s with stock airbox because the minor benefits of the am filters or largercarbs do not justify more water ingestion and more fuel consumption.
