Isn't that fuel starvation due to loss of pick up as the fuel moves around? Do the Jazz tanks have a clunk pickup like the Kart tanks?

Phil has his tank installed different from the rest of us... IMO he needs to turn it around, it will move the weight back some and help with the fuel pick issue

my last freak would do 7 flips in a row without sucking air so there must be something right about tank direction

That was the first ride with that pump. The motor revs much quicker than it did before. I think it may need a jetting change now. The air was cooler than when I dialed it in in the heat of summer as well. I don't think tank position matters. The pickups are so long that they can't stay in the fuel when inverted, regardless of the tank position.
The foam idea sounds like a good solution to try. That's what we did with the drag cars, but we tried not to get them inverted

I hear ya man. It's certainly running out of fuel for some reason. We will get it figured out. I have some ideas but it's way too much to type. I'll talk to you soon.

Are these tanks 'clunk' pick up or fixed like a stock tank?

On the jazz tank we run the pick up at the top with a fixed ss line all the way to the bottom. .. I have also used clunks and had the same results.. If you need any help just pm me I have pics of how I did mine on photo bucket...
