I want to try riding in some rapids now, any tips, and what is your plan if you or someone else falls off?
My biggest tip to anyone is to take the time to learn how to read water current. I was a whitewater guide so that training was crucial. Go rafting or have an experienced paddler take you kayaking. I feel you need to learn to go with the current before you can begin riding against the current.
NEVER let go of your ski unless your facing a possible body/ski pin.
NEVER crowd another rider in a rapid. One at a time.....Unless your just a badarse
NEVER ride it alone.
and most importantly NEVER let go!
IMO- When riding whitewater, ignition tethers will get you in trouble!
Those are just a few of my thoughts on it
