Located In Oklahoma City-New to stand up skis

Hey all,
Just wondering if there are any people around Oklahoma City who are into the stand up jet skis. Im trying to get into this hobby and have a JS550 that I'm working. Would like to talk to some people around here who have experience in this sport who could give me some guidance. Maybe get to know and help me out or something.

im out of wichita, ks and ride weekly. but never mind coming a little bit south to ride but i have a AM hull with a big motor though. nothing to small. I know there are some others that ride out of moore oklahoma.

Me and @SkiPro ride in edmond. We have a couple other buddies that come ride with us as well. There is a group of guys in okc that ride every weekend during the summer at overholser. mostly on sundays i think. Thats where most go ride and meet other people that ride in the city.

Ya ill have to come meet up with you guys someday. Im currently trying to get my ski to turnover. Think I'm having some trouble with the starter. I actually live in Norman, next to Moore, since I go to school here. I just figured this would get more notice if I put Oklahoma city. @Twake and @SkiPro, do you guys have any recommendations for people are here I could take my ski into to get fixed?

I was actually about to call them tomorrow. I was just cruising through here to see if there were any other options around here. I want to try and work on it myself, but I have no idea if its actually the starter, and the last thing I want to do is take it apart, break it, or not be able to get it back together

does it turn over at all
if it does then thats not the problem next can you jump the relay and see if it turns over?

It doesn't turnover at all. When I try to start it, it has a deep "woomfing" sound. Its pretty slow. It sounds like its about to start, just doesn't get that extra jump to actually fire up.

550s were very common for a starter failure thats where i would start
