Lonestar Freeride, camping available?

Some of my buddies were planning a trip to Galveston-ish around this time to camp on the beach, ride etc... But since the Freeride is during the same time frame, were thinking about doing that instead.

Is there any chance that people could camp anywhere near the freeride?

I don't know if there is an official date yet for the 2011 LSFR. Are you looking at the 2010 date, or did I miss something?
