I am thinking my 04 SXR was in the 165-170 range. Racers use to buy up used heads to see if they could find some that gave more compression than others. Then they changed the rules in stock class to where you could run different thickness base gaskets and head gaskets. There were some crazy combos. Big open track they would put a thicker base with a thin head gasket. Faster motor with higher compression. Thinner base with thicker head to give more bottom end but keep the compression in the pump gas range. So many combos!
