Looking for 1990 SJ650 mid shaft

So I have this 1990 super jet that I bought off my cousin years ago. Lomg time ago he had it custom airbrushed like an alligator. So while I like the ski it it’s old and isn’t one I want to junk but don’t want to dump a ton of money into. Curious if anyone out there has a decent midshaft. I went to rebuild mine today and found allot of grooves in the shaft. Wish I didn’t already buy a bearing/seal kit. Otherwise I’d just of bought a used assembly off eBay. Most new shafts are around 150$. I’m tempted to tig the grooves up and machine back down. I have a lathe so that’s no biggie. Thanks guys.

I have a midshaft assembly which needs rebuilt (new bearings and seals). Good splines inside the shaft itself if that’s what you’re after. 70 shipped?

Is there any way to verify the shaft doesn’t have grooves from the seals? I couldn’t tell I I I pulled it apart.
