Other Looking for a good on gas fast jetski

Are the 4 stroke super jets getting fuel ranges that are exceptionally better than the 2 stroke super jets? I've done quite a few trips up around 40 miles on my super jet where we are coast line chasing or river riding. I'm considering just getting the Wax Racing tank for more ease of mind this year but the twin 38s really are pretty fuel efficient. Not sure what your idea of "fast" is as it's all relative but we aren't pulling 40mph the whole time by any means.

Depends how fast your looking for. My carbon freak will run 50mph with a worn out 701, coffman pipe, 46mm carb and wetjet intake. With a mix of WOT, cruising, and screwing around I get 3+ hours on a stock superjet tank. If its cold out and I`m just cruising cause its too cold to be comfortable wet I can run 20 miles and still be above half a tank. If its 3-4 foot waves and I`m out there jumping with constant idle to WOT transitions I get about an hour to hour and a half run time before I get below half a tank and will start to occasionally suck air into the main pickup. Haven`t really equated it to being good on gas or not. Its more of a I can be 10 miles from home depending on where I`m at on the lake and I want to have an idea how far I can go cause swimming home sucks.

I know it’s your life goal to talk poop to everyone but you might consider the scenario that this guy doesn’t always ride 50 yards from the landing and perhaps he needs the ski to be better on fuel so he can go further.
Anyone who rides. Knows the smaller the engine. The MORE fuel your gonna burn. You think I go out and out 10 gallons through my dasa a ride? Yah right. No one has that stamina. I could damn sure ride 2 tanks on a 701 superjet in a hour tho. Easy. Experience I'm speaking from is the bigger the engine. The less you spend on fuel.

I ride distance. All. The. Time. I burn 3x as much fuel in my 701 blaster vs my 1100 xfr. And the xfr hands down wears me out more.

Someone getting 3 hrs out of a superjet tank. Is fawking wild. Idk what kinda put put riding your doing. But a superjet tank. Should last around 1 hr of rec riding. And 45 minutes of hard deciated riding. Maybe that's my problem. I thrash on skis harder than others? Crap tuning? Who knows. But 3 hrs. At 50mph. Wtf

Engine cc. Amount of carbs. Amount of carb inlet size. Exhaust size. Tuning. That's what matters for fuel consumption. For efficiency. Or what we are asking for in this thread. Economy. The engine that is on the peak edge of performance. Is going o get the best economy for the amount of fuel put Into it.
