Looking for a good trim system for a superjet

Hello,

I am getting a 2010 superjet ready for freestyle and free ride, and I would like to have some informations about the difference between the Blowsion pump Tilt system, and the Wamilton trim system :

I like the blowsion, but I don't know how will it work in flat water free style ? I know it's good for wave riding, but I often ride in flat water too..... so....

Can anyone please help me ?

Thanks!

word of advice on the blowsion trim system..it's a great product sure, but my best friend has one on his 99 rn and is about to rip it off and go to an xmetal setup....ever since he's put it on he get's about 3 or 4 rides on a cable. then it snaps..he's gone through probably 5 cables already

Yeah, I heard about that......... Do you know if the wamilton setup is stronger ? Or is the xmetal much stronger ? What about setting up a stronger cable ? an oversized one....

another local rider here has the wamilton setup and has never had any problems with it...oversize cable might help but i personally feel that going with something like the xmetal would be the better bet and it's cheaper to boot...xmetal is a great company, i just got home from vacation and visited them..great guys and they stand behind there products

Yeah I ordered an Xmetal and it looks pretty nice.

You will have to find a raider reduction nozzle and steering nozzle though, I got a great deal on a used setup and would recomend looking for a used one because you will save a hundred plus dollars over new.

I'll probably go for a wamilton setup. The 2010 one looks pretty nice, but I'll check the Xmetal setup too.... Everyone seems to be talking about it, but I think the wamilton setup is stronger... I've already had problems on my GP1300R because of cheap parts, and I don't want it to happen again.......... Last time, I was far away from the coast... so...

Anyway, thanks a lot guys! ^^

Really? Common man don't say that...... I just got the blowsion setup....!!!

I went with the blowsion setup cuz I hate the weak cheap cheesy lookin plastic steering nozzles! Blowsions is aluminum, strong, bored out, extended and looks sweet. But all that broken cable talk makes me not so happy.....

sorry brotha maybe you'll have better luck...might be he has too much thrust for the blowsion setup...he's running a 785 flat top bigbore, dual 48 novi's, a lightened flywheel, mad enhancer, with a 144 12 vein mag pump, and a 3mm cutback prop..i don't remember the pitch....he just put a new cable on the setup around the first of may....yesterday at the lake he let off the throttle pulled the trim to attempt a backy off a boat wake..SNAP! it broke again.......pretty sure he's pulling it off now.

on another note i'm sure there's probably plenty of guys running them with no issues....maybe it has something to do with the way he set his cable up..iu don't have all those answers...no have i gone into detail to figure out why he keeps snapping trim cables....just putting it out there that he has huge problems with them and i think a couple other people have had problems with the blowsion cables in the past..could be wrong:dunno:

Man you are so right, the blowsion aluminium nozzle looks just so pretty, but don't be affraid, I think it will be alright... Look at all of thoses big waves riders who are using this trim system!

What you could do is setting up a pulley on the trim system, just like the one on the wamilton trim system, if you brake the cable. This will divide the strenght

I have the xmetal and like it. You can get the whole setup in the low $400s. Just need the raider nozzle and steering nozzle, I bought mine used and they work perfect!

The thrust one seems really sweet also, very well made...most of my buddies are running that. I just couldn't afford it so went with the xmetal one. They were very helpful on the phone with info when I got confused. A quick little instruction guide would be gold if they could provide that. I just see it as training wheels till i get my form on my backies down.

As far as the crappy looking plastic nozzle....you will break your nozzle off a lot according to my buddies. So it is better to have the plastic on since it will save your whole system since it will be the weak point. if you have a metal nozzle it might break your whole system when you land on the tail. Jet maniac told me to load up on the plastic ones because "You will break them". Just a thought.

Some of my friends, who are riding the wamilton setup, told me to get one. They have been riding this trim system for years, and still didn't break it, or just small cracks. So I think I might buy one. The new one seems to have a plastic nozzle, and as you said, this might break before the whole system. And it looks very strong. So, even if they are a little bit expensive, I think I might go for one.
