Looking for a review for the TBM Superjet Flywheel

Title says it - I am thinking of possibly picking one up.

I am aware of this thread, but I was wondering if there are more people with first hand experience, and not just unfounded opinions.

I am concerned about this not working with Advent, as I was looking to pick one of those up in the future, too. Any news on this?
Also, am I right to assume this flywheel works with 62T stators only?
Thanks.

Do it twice?That's DooDoo
I installed one... I can give you a review in a few months when it warms up... there should be a few guys running the preproduction flywheels though... I remember one selling on here a little while back.... "Theskiclinic" guy sold it...

I agree we need to get some reviews of this product ASAP... its a lot of money to spend. The sooner we give feedback- the sooner we can help TBM sell these things, or save people a big headache.... depending on how they end up working...

I am wondering whether to go with a TBM flywheel and modified stock CDI (No enhancer, thank you), or to go with a RAD Flywheel and Advent.

Hmmm....

Advent CDI's ROCK!!! :arms:

When they work...:nutkick:

I'm still running one, but the customer service has gone downhill in the last few years, IMHO. :crutches:

I thought the Advent didn't work with a Rad flywheel?

Advent told me it would not with a Rad wheel.

I've always been under the impression that the Advent would only work with a stock 62T set-up. I was (and still am) VERY impressed with the Advent ignitions, but nowadays if they fail you have little recourse. The FIRST one that I had go bad was about two months out of warranty and they offered me a new one at a seriously discounted price. Since then I haven't had the same luck with units that have failed. :tomato:

That sucks. In that case, I'll run TBM + modified stock.

TL is sweet, but I do ride saltwater occasionally and I have proven to suck at salt-proofing it.

I've had great warranty service from Greg at Advent. I had 2 box's fail for my sxr and both were replaced. I've also used it with a RAD wheel with no problems and again this is on a SXR.

I have a few weeks before I make a decision, just wondering.

Is the TBM for T stators only?

it doesnt matter if he replaces them the prob is swimming back to shore,,,mine hasnt failed but i only have 3 months on it.i do like it in the fact it can be custom tuned for my motor setup,u can change the timeing in diff parts of the cruve..nice when ur running high compression.

Im pretty sure they are t only
Call Tim
I know he has 2 vesions round magnet for stock and msd and sq for the advent

Gregg was suprized when I told him I was running a TBM he knew nothing about Tim putting out a flywheel for a SJ

I think the 61X stator is slightly smaller than the 62T. I know if I do a search I can find out. I doubt if they would make a aftermarket flywheel for an ignition that hasn't been produced since 1995.

Why would you rather have a modded OEM than an enhancer? I have both and was planning on running a jetinetics/enhancer combo. I read that the curve was better on the enhancer but I have no experience with either one.
