I think thats what i want.

i ride surf a lot and im just getting into riding the face of the waves instead of just jumping them. the plate that is on there now is a protec, which was on there when i bought the ski. everytime i try to ride the face of the wave, the nose of the ski just gets pushed under and in some cases hits the bottom. i only weigh 145, so im thinking that, plus the long plate, may be the reason its so hard to keep the nose up.

What im thinking is to see if anyone has a stocker they can sell me so i can D cut it. i dont want to cut a perfectly good protec rideplate. that way i can sell the protec if the D cut stocker works out.

Thanks

just got back from the surf. what a difference d cutting made. it looked like i knew what i was doing out there. i also pulled off my first re-entry. i didnt quite ride it out, but i was able to pull one off without lawn darting it. eventhough i didnt ride it out, it felt good. i love the way the nose stays out of the water now. makes riding the face of the waves much better. i would definately reccommend d cutting if you unsure. i very happy with the results.

nope, no one pmd me about a stocker. obviously, most fx1 stuff is harder to come by. you can still get new aftermarket plates, but theyre going to cost you. i just took the risk and cut my protec, and it paid off.

i did a lot of research on here about d cutting and seeing how much my protec sells for (not a lot) made me decided i wanted to do it.

another thing that helped me decide is, if i do cut it and i dont like it, its still rideable until i find a new one. hell, i had to deal with the protec until i decided to cut mine. i didnt like how it was, but it was rideable. basically, the situation never changes. i had a plate i didnt like, so i cut it. if i didnt like it after i cut it, then im in the same situation. just deal with it until you find another.

it seems the majority of riders who d cut are happy with the results. flat or surf. i know im happy with mine. it really does make a big difference. it likes to jump, but slides out more.

i hope all this makes sense. lol
