300/440/550 looking for advice with my 300 project

Here are some pictures of the 300 i have just finished putting together.

Im running a bn38 at the moment which went really good with the stock pipe but now after i put the kerker pipe on it seems to be running too lean. I have just drilled the main jet out by .1mm but havn't tested it yet. Has anyone done this mod before or had experiance with tuning bns?

In the past I have always put a mikuni carb on my skis as my first mod. Then I do the pipe but your carb should have no problem with that pipe. My old 550 actually had a pipe on it when I got it then it had a bn38 on it and it ran good then right after the first time I took it out I did a head and carb then rideplate. Did you try tuning a little bit first/

i have been looking for someone that has done this. how did you mount your kerker pipe to your motor..i just picked one up from a friend and it wont fit can you tell me how you dont yours on? thanks

firstly you need to make sure that you have the right pipe for your 300. Kerker made a similar pipe for the 300sx as well which wont fit the js. Mine came with all the hardware to bolt straight up and i found the hose diagram on the internet.
