Looking for feedback on piranha hulls

Hey guys,
I have a buddy in the market for a fixed steer hull. He's considering a piranha freek. Can anyone provide first hand feedback on a modern piranha hull? I know the owner (sylwek) is a strange and hard to deal with guy, just wondering if the quality of the hulls are decent. Thanks

Appreciate the feedback. I understand that the owner is an ass and that can really cause his brand to have a bad reputation, but the few guys that I've talked to on fb that have them (frus and razor), say good things about the hulls themselves. I was just curious if piranha has a case of the internets (pissed off a couple guys and they post everywhere creating a negative image) or if the actual build quality is poor.

im guessing yes in the surf, and also the mx1 is dam awesome , its what yamaha should have built, but for the money a rear carter b rocker is a killer on flat water

Btw, try to test ride a reaper. I have both and although I LOVE my rocker blaster, the reaper is better in every aspect.

^^This, I have ridden a ton of Fix steer's and the Reaper is everything you wished your rockered blaster could be. The used RTR ones are pretty dang cheap too. One in the marketplace for 8k

Has he ever ridden one?
No. I bought my rocker blaster having never seen one in person, I bought my reaper having never seen one in person. The luxury of test riding aftermarket hulls is not one we generally have. He's also the kind of guy that if he doesn't like the way it looks, he won't want it. I've suggested an Air Blair to him before and he doesn't like the look of them.

Gotcha, yeah I never rode one before I bought mine new either. Coming from a lot of standups and x-2s, this thing is just plain awesome. Can't always base things on looks but I know a lot of people do.

People as a rule don't like to admit they made mistakes. They also don't want to have a total loss on their hands by making their item unsaleable. You are obviously welcome to spend your money wherever you want. But if 99% of the people say something is a dumpster fire, and you choose to listen to the 1%, then that's on you.

To be fair, it's more like 50/50. I've talked to (or read reports from) maybe 4 or 5 guys and 3 had positive things to say about the hulls. I've heard just as much bad reports on krash hulls, the jetski world is a strange one haha I have a v2x, my buddy is the one in the market for a hull, just Looking for first hand info on the quality of piranha hulls.

After my highroller experience if there is a 50/50 split on something I'll go with something that has better odds
