SX/SXi/SXi Pro Looking for opinions on adding power

The yamaha is ported better for low end. Its not that the Kawi needs more power to be comparable, they actually have more power than yamaha. Running high compression and aggressive timing curve can get the response everyone is looking for. I did a home port on my sxr and I'm going to slowly ramp up timing n compression.
Yamaha drivetrains just gained popularity because the superjet is such a good all around platform to start freestyle.

Weight Reduction! lighter battery, light weight water box, replacing the stock side rails with turf/ or bare, aluminum engine plate, handle pole. i shaved 32 lbs off my ski and its more agile with more pep. with all the engine mods you already have done your ski would fly

Checked all that off the list a while back lol, gutted the water box, drastically lightened the bed plate, turfed the rails. I could use a smaller/lighter pole than the full length A/C pole but just dont want to sink more money into another pole at this time. I wish I would have got a good before and after weight of my ski, I know I took a good 30lbs out of it at least. Really need to cut the tray out and refoam it, Its been taking in some water the last few years...

Since yall talking about weight, I had a stock SXR motor with only b pipe in a 280lb RTR ROK. Everyone was shocked at the power it made. 26cc domes and Sunoco 110 helped the bottom end hit

I've always believed the Kawi pump has ALOT to do with why the SJ feels like it has better bottom end

Ive herd that as well, blueprinting, 650sx nozzle, 12/18 and tbm cone really made a huge difference. I had a blowsion cone, 9/17 and bored nozzle before the motor mods and it really didnt hook up as well or have the low end hit with the added power. I always wanted a mag pump but just cant justify spending the coin on this hull.
