this weekends surf was OFF THE CHAIN
what a kickoff to spring!!!!! we had lots of incidents this weekend, but everyone made it home in one piece....
surf was BIG on the outer break

there were the std. jellyfish everywhere...dont know if any were MOW's
middles was going OFF....breaking waist high 200 yards wide, but that was at the end of the day and pretty much everyone took a ******** all at once and we ended up with 2-3 dead boats ont he beach at once

First session Sat. it was shoulder to head high plus on the outside, good re-entry waves. Then my starter crapped out:bs2: & my final session was at 3:00, waves were down to waist to ribcage, form wasn't near as good.
there were tons of cannonballs but only saw one mow. i thought it best not to mention it yesterday but i have never seen more sharks in one day ever

When I was there early March we saw one washed up on the beach. Purplish Blue, wider tentacles, Top ballooned out and looked like a ziplock bah cut into a triangle. Thats one eh?

nah.... You are thinking of the "Portugese Man O War" I think they can kill ya, just cause they are so huge... Probably put you into shock or something...
the thing you saw will just sting like a bee till someone pees on you

I had started to write in my last post that I kept seeing dark shapes surfacing....but then deleted it
I never got a good look at one...just caught it out of the corner of my eye...but it was at least 5-6 times :skull2:

Thats what we saw, I looked them up they usually wont kill unless they arent treated or the sting is in a vulnerable area.

I saw some huge ******** underwater.... I think it was a manatee though.
