Looking to get into Freestyle

I was talking about not wanting to worry about engine issues, im gonna try and design stuff like ride plates and rail extentions. Stuff that i can develope and what not. Mabey a hood with handhold fit to me and what not, ill be able to do a 100% composite one eventually. well see wt hapens

power wont get you tricks man...only skill...so go and buy a used SJ and save a tad of moeny and when u feel like goin bigger put some more money into it...dont go out and expect to do barrel rolls and backys, just because u have the power. PLus if u ride and decide u dont like freestyle and u might wanna race..you wouldnt have wasted all the money on the jacked up ski
so decide waht you reallly reallly reallly wanna do

Not to be Mr. Negativity, but you might want to just buy an already built something just to get by on and save the rest of that money. Maybe you'll have better luck than I did, but my engineering scholarship only lasted 2 semesters because engineering is HARD and maintaining the minimum gpa for a scholarship took more time than I had. Yamasaki is right. You will beat on your first ski pretty hard. You didn't learn to drive in a new BMW did you? Same deal.
Good luck

Definately get a used superjet... best bang for the buck.
For 3 to 6 grand, you could get a Freestyle ski ready to go. If you buy a new stocker and ride someone elses older freestyle ski, your gonna be mad and hate yours. Plus, sinse your new, your gonna bang it up anyway. They don't stay looking like new that long.

It will cost about 10 grand to build one up yourself from stock, not to mention a TON of work and time.

Amen...nearing the 10 G mark, and kicking myself for what i could have for that price:banghead:

Exactly. I paid just a little more than that for my lightweight Wamilton's Team Scream 5mil stroker that you rode at Lanier.

Put the 25k in the bank and collect interest off of it

If that's really possible for you...Why don't you try to design your own hull? That would be so nice!!.Lightweight hull is the best first mod IMO.
