If she wants to ride she'll buy her own ski.

Lol! So true!

Such a funny story... I've been building a 650 conversion ski, paycheck by paycheck... so mine is mostly finished and my girlfriend buys one thats mostly complete. Ha!

She decided she wanted to ride with me, so she bought her own. Here's a picture of her after she bought her ski.

Girl friend just took a hike... said i care about my "stupid" jetski more then her..... didnt have the balls to tell her it was true  anyone else had this problem :brap:

I don't have that problem because my GF knows. We talked about these things before and it is a mutual understanding we BOTH like to do things, we have Hobbies, passions whatever. SO I go Jet skiing for half a day on weekends and She might go to a belly dance class next. We also have a child and have no problems whatsoever taking care of Isabella.

Communication is Key. I can't just say on Friday "Honey, I am going to Pismo all day tomorrow, See ya".....(although I have done it) but we plan ahead, we keep a calender and within a week's notice I get to do what I want.

Kudos to the guys that enjoy this Sport with your significant other....I couldn't.....This it my time......Boys will be Boys.

you should tell her that she's lucky you have the skis to keep you preoccupied, and not up her 4ss all the time. just tell her that if it wasn't for the skis balancing out your time, she would have calouses on the walls of her vag.

I here it a lot from my wife, I got her riding & she likes it. My only problem now is if I rip a BF while we're riding now its all about me again. I have now switched to every other weekend riding (Unless we have perfect surf), this is working well and making my wife happy.

not to mention, she's just using the "ski" BS as a way to attempt to control you. fk that.
if she's willing to give up the relationship over a friggin ski, you would be better off finding someone else, anyway.

Me and my Wife both ride together all the time , we have
been to havasu for the finals now 3 times and take the skis
and enjoy watching and riding !! The thing that throws me off
is the look on the faces of some other riders , and once she
gets on the ski and throws some tricks the level of intimitation
rises ... Moto you need to find someone who enjoys doing the
same things as you do , or have seperate hobbies and open
communication about it....

:arms:

U gotta have priorities. :439:

All kidding aside, I'm really lucky to have Kim. We do everything together, and that makes doing it that much more fun.

Keep hunting. You'll find someone who's not a hater.

a good balance is key in a relationship . If the (girl friend / wife) has a hobby they understand.

If the hobbies are differant, support there hobbie. be interested in theres too.. even if you do not like it. It's there hobbie. You support them and they will support you. If they are decent.

Sometimes in life there is not time for hobbies, family comes first. As i have seen latley pancake pete seems to be having a baby on the way> from what i gather he has sold all his stuff to concentrtate on his wife and baby to be.. Life is not always just play time. (good for you pete)

There are (girlfriends/ wives) that do not like the other doing things with out them or don't like you having a hobbie by yourself. this is where there are issues. Dump this person and find a new..

To the pips that have a girl friend/ wife that ride good for you. That would be really cool at times.

For the record, I don't thing shopping is a hobby. But I support my wifes "hobby".

My wife learned to ride skis the first summer we dated, then never rode after she got a ring. WTF! I was a little bummed...

The first winter I got a nearly new snowmobile for her to ride (+ nearly $1000 in clothing), and she had fun, but in 6 years the sled has aquired 400mi. I'm bummed again.

The first summer after our wedding she wanted to go trail riding, so I got her a new quad, so she could tag along with the MX bikes. She rode one weekend. Bummed again.

I love my wife, and our son. Just feel like I was lied to, and my wife doesn't really like anything that I like to do.
