Lost girl friend to ski......

please elaborate..

this is when you have a girl who dyes her hair blonde, then goes to prison where she cannot continue to dye it..

by the time she gets out a few months later, the top half is brown/black..whatever, and the bottom half is still blonde

voila..prison hair!

kinda like this, but in reverse

My wife learned to ride skis the first summer we dated, then never rode after she got a ring. WTF! I was a little bummed...

The first winter I got a nearly new snowmobile for her to ride (+ nearly $1000 in clothing), and she had fun, but in 6 years the sled has aquired 400mi. I'm bummed again.

The first summer after our wedding she wanted to go trail riding, so I got her a new quad, so she could tag along with the MX bikes. She rode one weekend. Bummed again.

I love my wife, and our son. Just feel like I was lied to, and my wife doesn't really like anything that I like to do.

Been there, done that, bought the quad-n-skis, back to single 6 years later.

Not that I was checkin' her out or anything, but she was MUCH better looking than the chick in the pic......long bleach blond AND the fake blue contact lenses...wearing a Hooters shirt and leggings....just your type.
Like a stripper, but serving wings and beer.
....and you don't wanna call her to go jet skiing WHY?

I've tried to get my wife to Mountain bikes , skis , wake-boarding , shooting bows , hunting , you name it . After 14 years of marriage all she cares about is sex , and trying new positions . Well I've had enough so tonight i decided to pull the motor on a ski... she will just have to wait.

My wife has her own rn/sj and rides it well. She is not as excited about BIG waves as I am , but can hold her own in the surf as well as alot of guys. She is more into "carving" than air tricks since her titanium hip replacement.
We're riding together.
I'm luckey I guess.
She would say..."if you can, DO, because you might not have that option forever."

I have been in trouble at some point in time with everything I have ever done. When I do something, I really get into it. But we balance everything out. I make time for her and her hobbies (shopping and shopping) I go with her shopping. She isn't into standups at all. Yet... She supports my love for jetskiing to an extent. But my friggin psychic abilities don't always pick up on that particular moment, when I need to stop the jetski thing, and pay attention to her. I've never tried to get her into anything I have done. I'll offer it to her. If she wants to, she'll try it. This summer she freaked me out by liking riding this 750zxi we picked up. She definitely wants a bigger couch. She had me looking up 15f's on CL a few weeks ago. I'm looking forward to next summer. I think if I work on my psychic abilities a bit more, we will be fine. As others have said. Be open and honest at all times.

One of the first questions out of my mouth when I meet a girl is "Do you like the water?" b/c I spend every minute I can on, under, over, near it!

My Girlfriend is convinced that she can't swim if she can't touch the bottom... She swims fine in the 4' pool but freaks in anything deeper! She has panic attacks if we come across waves bigger than 2' on the couch... So getting her on a stand-up... aint gonna happen...

However... she doesn't mind the boat as long as it's somewhat calm out!... and... and I let her drive a couch all by herself and she now wants me to teach her how to swim and build her, her own pink couch!

So we are making progress but I still get the "Is it winter yet? I can't wait till you you are done!" To which I reply... look at my new Dry Suit...

She is starting to get pissed that I bought an SXR instead of an engagment ring... She really wants to get married... me I am not ready to part with my toys...

She is excited to go to Daytona, b/c she loves the beach just not the water!

Nicely done bro, way to go. My wife doesn't ride, but I still ride every chance I have. I just wish we coud do it together, but you can't ave everything .

my wife doesn't ride either. i wish she would. she tried it once on a 650sx and now she hates it. i try to tell her th sj is way easier to ride but she doesn't try. so now when i ride she either goes out with the girls or comes to get a tan while i ride. She knows i have to have a hobby so she is cool with it, just as long as every other word out of my mouth isn't jet ski this or b pipe that. lol

I could never sneak the skis or dirt bikes out of the garage without Katie and wouldn't want to she is one of a kind.

Not so true. Maybe one in a million though. I found my little Jetski and Mx racer at the MX track practicing, and knew right away she was a keeper. They are a special breed most definitely, if you ever find one don't let her get away.

My hubby and I have been together so long, we practically grew up together (high school sweethearts). He tried for many, many years to get me on a motorcycle, but I was just never comfortable. I didn't grow up on them like he did (I wish I had, I always liked them and passengered for years on the street). The jetskis were his idea initially (trying to hook me on ANY motor sport) and it worked, I got seriously hooked and he rarely gets to ride skis without me unless I'm sick or something (like my cold this weekend or my bigger health problems I had earlier this year).

Since the jetskis worked out so well, he started in on me about the dirt bikes again, so I tried again and still just wasn't comfy enough to keep with it. I didn't feel like I'd EVER even come close to being fast enough to keep up with the guys (my hubby is really fast). I didn't want to forever be the slowest one in the group especially since I was soooo slow a group ride with me wouldn't have been any fun for them at all.

That's when he got the quad. Guess what? It workd just fine, but he also found out that HE liked the quad enough that he now has a quad AND a dirt bike. He was always a "2 wheels only" kind of guy, but he had to tune my quad, get the suspension right, etc, and realized it's just another kind of fun. Now I love the quad almost as much as the jetskis, so we ride dirt when it's too cool to jetski. Sometimes he rides bikes on Sat mornings on warm days while I'm working (I'm the one that doesn't like riding when it's too hot out).

So, my advice to you guys out there: Find a girl that's up for a little adventure (why would you even bother with anyone that wasn't?) and get them on the water with an easy ride first (unless they're very athletic), then the standup, then a quad, +/- a 2 wheel ride after that. Be patient, be persistent (without being a jerk) and talk more about the FUN than the bruises if you want to get her started.

Golf would be such a total snooze for me. I'd be like, yeah, uh, you go have fun, honey, I'll be jetskiing.
