Lost HIN, looking for solutions

Hi all,

I bought a super jet a few years back. No HIN plate on the hull but it was on the bill of sale.
Flash forward a year, I had some issues and it stayed laid up for a while to be worked on, in this time I stripped the reg numbers and decals to redo them. Then I moved, and the paperwork got lost in the shuffle. I haven’t been able to get in contact with the seller yet, and the town office/state offices don’t have any paperwork on file for me to find the HIN. I’d like to sell the ski, but without any registration paperwork or my bill of sale I can’t find the HIN to put on a new bill of sale, and I can’t even register it if I wanted to ride it. Anybody have any solutions or tips?

TIA

There’s a hidden hin in the hull I think it’s up front under the water box or battery tray, can’t remember exactly where in a superjet

Actually I’m having a memory of fit being back up on the rear firewall ..

Above your electrical box on the left side of the engine compartment. It's on the bottom side of the hood flange.

If the hull registration numbers(stickers) are still on the hull, your state can tell you the HIN number. Also, a lot of states now have little machines to make quick stainless steel hull HIN tags that rivet on for people that lost theirs or was missing when bought.
