Custom/Hybrid LOST my new Brawler Hull

Oh man that sucks so bad. I stuffed 1.5 pool noodles in the nose of my Brawler when I put it together, but now I'm thinking about jamming some more in there...

Really hope you find it!

I was debating on pouring foam into my Vision through the Versi plug holes in the rear of the ski. I'll be ordering pour foam today.

Going to see. If I can get one of these not cheap but worth it if it finds it

In my thread I bought if not that exact same model. POS, impossible, was pretty much worthless. Those screenshots are WAY better than what I got. You have to scan at an exact steady slow pace with absolute zero ripple on the water. And then if the image is even clear, your are looking for just a dot on the screen because of the depth of the water. Then you have to mark it, then dive to get a view of nothing because you cannot see your hand in front of your face....

Just to clarify there is foam in the tray. From the entire description of the catastrophe I was given- the ski bobbed for a couple min before going down

Do not do that!
1.You can't get enough in there before it will block off the opening.
2.Unless your tray leaks, it will make no difference.
3.Pour foam absorbs water and will make your ski heavier. If you are dying for foam you need to cut open the tray and fill it with polystyrene.
4. You are better off stuffing noodles or pieces of cheap orange life jackets in the engine compartment.

The holes for the versi plugs are about an inch diameter if you take the backing plate off. I would think if you do small pours with the ski sitting vertical with the nose down you could get most of the area filled with foam. I don't trust that anything is sealed on the hull. I haven't run it without the versi plugs, but I could try it with just drain plugs in and see how much water it takes on.

There is 8 ft visibility now on the bottom there is a silt layer had divers go down wed for a bit but focused on a spot where we thought we saw it on a more expensive side scan. We are going to. Be diving in the first original spot this weekend

If it's crap I'll take it back but it's better than trying nothing...

I had a 300 dollar one yesterday and could see the rope from my anchor and sentiment when I pulled it up. That was only down scan
The $1000 one is side scan imaging I can't believe it can be that bad I'm in 30 ft only. Like I said better than driving around looking at Brown water

I'll toss you $100 towards that side scan. I know with my hack jobs a sinking is certain. Saves on future rental off you :)

breaking something
No insurance. I tried once. On my moded superjet they laughed.

There is Some foam in the tray but with rickter pole no foam in the nose like any ski thy sink our aftermarket skis don't float good. In general we need marker bags and other measures and I would have been riding. Yes fast elements have what I should have had. And will be getting one.

PM @RivMan about insurance...there is a few companies out there that will insure these things.

Best of luck finding your ski!
