lowering a stock hood

I am thinking of taking mine out, but don't know what I should do with the extingushier. Do I find a sn holder and put it in the tray? What do the guys do with the af hood kits that don't have a storage?

Edit: I can't just run without one, we get stopped by the water patrol/police to offed to run with out one. They are always looking for a reason to stop us when we are out riding.

I removed the liner and fire extinguisher part of the hood and glassed over the hole.I reinforced the inside of the hood with carbon and i dont use a liner.I run 2-2.5 hoses to the bottom of the engine compartment..It took me a bit to set it up right but I get less water in than before.and removed a few pounds.
You have to reinforce , if you dont use a liner or the hood will crack.

So where do you attach the hoses to? can you take a pic of the bottom of your hood. Thats the only part i am still not 100% on.

Lowering to make everything straight and even requires a bit of filler.

Just out of curiosity, has anyone just cut the top part off of the hood entirely? It would certainly make glassing it easier but would it look completely horrible?

Some riders I know use the SN holder in the tray, slightly raised, as a front foot hold. Works well.
