Lowe's beach cart

I don't know how well it work yet, but I bought one of these today for $80 at Lowes:

It assembled in ~5 minutes. The side rails are removable (I didnt' install them). We are installing the bunks tomorrow. The tires are only 4-5 inches wide, but there are 4 instead of just 2.

We'll try it out at the Lonestar Freeride.

I don't think it's going to roll well in the sand with those small wheels but for 80 bucks I guess you can use it for almost anything.

You might want to extend the handle length on it.

I use one all the time... My ski sits on it in the garage and I use it as a work stand. I pull it all around the yard from the garage to the truck. With this I don't have to move all the cars to back up to the garage when I am loading the ski. Works great... I don't know about the loose sand but I know that loose gravel you can roll it like it is on pavement.

Make a bend in the handle adn make it longer if you can so that you don't have to bend down and pull the cart. The nose of the ski sticks out too far to walk upright.

I use a small wheeled cart on sand all the time. If you have trouble with sinking, carry some long wood planks with you. Place the planks on the sand and just roll the wheels across the planks.

I have a similar one that I put bunks on for forty dollars, it's a little smaller though. It's very nice with the ski on it, havnt had a chance to use it on Sand yet, it won't fit in my trunk and there is no way to strap it to my trailer.

We added bunks today. We needed to drag Scott's ski into the shop. The cart worked great for moving around the shop. It is going to be tippy in the sand, but it's better than nothing.

That thing will work better pretty well. Mine works just fine on beach sand(although it is not that fine powder sand like you southern folks enjoy). Mud...now that is another story altogether.

You know what would work better than those wheels/tires....

Some race kart rear wheels/tires:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DUNL...ES-SLICKS_W0QQitemZ170018793415QQcmdZViewItem (sorry could only find a pic on ebay, I didn't want to search too hard, you get the idea..)

Nice and wide will float over sand. Rims and tires are easy to get your hands on, Hell, I would throw away some used tires that you could use for years to come....

This idea just got a lot better to me, and it wouldn't make it so tippy either...

That will be completely worthless in Texas, trust me I've ridden there and the sand is not hard pack everywhere.

Find a better solution. You could have bought two riding lawnmower tires and had someone weld a frame for you for cheaper than 80$.
