LTD vs MOD factory pipe - How to tell?

I have just received my box from hotproducts, and the outside of the box says SUPERJET MOD PIPE. Now, I am not sure if I got the mod one, or the ltd one (which was the one I wanted). Is there any way I can tell? I know mod is shorter by 1.5in, but dont know how much it should measure.

Can anyone suggest any tips? Or, if you have a chamber laying around, measure it? :biggrin: thanks a lot!

I just called hotproducts, does anyone know for sure if the mod pipe should bring the elbow coupler, or does it come with the ltd pipe?

I have a chamber lying around. The mod chamber measures 25 1/4" at it's longest dimension. Not that you asked but be advised the shorter mod chamber is easier to install and I was never able to tell any diff. in bottom end between it and the longer ltd.
How do you get a Factory Pipe kit from Hot Products? FP greedily yanked all dealer accounts a few years ago and EVERYBODY supposedly has to pay retail now, which means dealing with FP directly.

Dont know, I got the pipe through a friend of mine who imports MX and Jetski parts here, I am positive he bought it at hotproducts though....

Is the stock hose cheap and easy to source? I am not keen on cutting OEM pieces, as usually I sell my skis stock.....is the factory elbow cheap? Is it cheaper than the stock piece?

You got me thinking now whether I should return it and get a LTD one, or keep it....I will search a little longer for more opinions but I think that the short/long thing can be compensated with more/less water at the screws....

you can cut the stocker, then slip a stainless tube, inside the halves, to couple the pieces back together to get back to stock.

Yes, done that on my previous ski though it looked a little ghetto. Just noticed that the Mod pipe does not include any jets.....:( I will have to get some also....
