Are the Yamaha pumps just a new stainless steel stator pressed into a machined out OEM housing?

I know they used to do Kawies that way. Now they just make their own pump for the Kawie 750/800 all from stainless. It is purdy...

this one weighs 12.35lbs fully assembled as it is in the pics above. I don't have a stocker here to compare.

An OEM pump is 11.10lbs with driveshaft, wearing, SS prop and plastic ventury. It would be safe to say this pump adds only 2.5lbs!! I love the way 12v/14v Mag pumps hook up in the fluffy.

IIRC, its the 140mm Mag pumps that are the heaviest suckers.

With my ski, If my upgrade choise was that pump or TL? I have a stock blueprint pump running a solas 13/16 cutback. Andthe charging system is a lighten fly wheel, enhancer and 760 coil. Thanks

The cost of both is relatively close. I would say go with the TL if you want more snap right off idle. I run the dual channel and it is an instant fistful of fury. If you already have a very strong setup and you like the hit then go with the pump. As stated these things really shine in less than optimal conditions when cavitation occurs. They GREATLY reduce slippage in foamy or choppy water. The magnum was the last piece to be added to my ski.

Interested in a different cone?

Guy on eBay listed it as a Kawie 750 cone and it looked like a stock replacement to me in his picture. Then I get it and it won't fit anything I own. After checking his feedback I see that he did have a skat modded stock 750 Kawie pump he sold. The buyer of the pump said good he was good and didn't need a second cone. Figures...

sweet dude, congrats, i rode a ski before and after and it was great
glad you got the 144mm as that means normal props will fit. i think
You could use normal props, but you want the bigger hub props to match the hub size on the magnum.

BTW, they're made of stainless steel, not magnesium. That's why they are so heavy.
