If you only ride calm water and dont plan on having a big power engine the cost of the mag pump is not really worth it in my opinion, but if you ride surf or rough water and plan on buying a bigger engine it would be worth it.

Other than adding a B pipe and a MSD etc to a stock motor, it is the biggest performance gain you will actually feel.

i have now in the power planet fresh new complete rebuild motor with vforce3, single 46 sbn, msd enhancer, tbm flywheel, 9\15 prop, worx intake, b pipe, ada head, rrp light couplers, flow control valve.
the biggest gain after the exhaust was the flywheel.
i afraid that the pump will loud up the engine and it will lost the "light" feeling it have right now. what you think?

I ran a solas 144 10/16 prop on a small bore 701, I swithed to a oem 144 with 10/18 prop and there was little to no performance loss on flat water. At least not a loss that warrants the cost of the mag pump. If you were running total loss and spinning the prop or riding surf it would be a different story. The mag pump is a huge improvement over stock in messy water so it's really up to your riding style, budget and if you plan to upgrade in the future

There are really no negatives to it other than cost and it's heavier. I did not notice all that much gain in performance other than it hooking up a little sooner in chop and coming out of tricks. When either pump is fully hooked up you wont notice any difference IMO. I ended up going back to a stock stator section and sold the Mag, mainly because i kept having bearing failure with the Mag which is a known issue and needs to be corrected.

The BIGGEST downfall to pumps with lots of veins is when you suck things up into your pump it ruins the day! It's really hard to get stuff out. One of my buddies has the "classic" superjet I.E. Head b pipe good tune. He has the solus stator with a 915 hooker and the hook up side by side to the almost same ski with the same prop and Oem stator is very noticeable. Until we ride through the slough where our local boat launch is and he sucks up stuff then obviously the stock stator ski shines lol
