Super Jet Making my own riser bars.

Ok I was wandering can somebody tell me on a 50mm riser bar where is it measured from. It it like the top of the part of the bar that's mounted to the top of the part that the grips slid on. I'm going to build me a jig and If someone has a set of the rrp bars off and easily measured, angles and lengths would be much appreciated. I ordered some round stock so I can easily make straight bars but I thought I would make a set or risers like the freeride innovations ones I can run on the stock turn plate I'm rigging up. I would just buy he FRI bars but they were going to be 106 bucks to my door. Just a little more then I want to pay for bars.

riser bars grow in diameter where the clamping surface is. this is unachievable unless you posses a machine (swaging machine) which costs thousands of dollars.

save yourself from breaking your face when your cheap ass bars snap under force. just buy mtb bars if your that cheap... but investing in a sport you love is probably a better idea :)

One this I found out is make sure there is enough bar end for your grips and switch. Most are made too short. Wi you be doing a cut to desired length ?

That may be the only way I do them. Can you get me some measurements. Maybe what you would like to see made. I haven't got to put my hands on any yet to examine and measure/check angles.

Well the first set didn't turn out very good. I didn't quite have the bender figured out , but the second one I think looks pretty nice and I still have a few feet left to make a few straight bars or a couple more risers.

I think so but it will be tight. If I can figure out an easier way to bend them and keep them true I will make a couple more pair with a little less rise and more handle. How much does a solid straight bar go for? And how wide should it be?
