Making of the SNX Hull

Got the pump aligned and all of the inserts done. Hoping my pole bracket comes in tomorrow. If so, I might be able to get it all wrapped up.

Motor in and most of the water lines run.

Started working on the turf and my heat gun died. Everything is taking a little longer than I had hoped, but it's being done right (mostly). The first time I built this ski I rushed it and several things were half-assed.

Besides the adjustable foot holds and some graphics, it's finished.

Had to 3D print a spring holder. If it doesn't hold up, I'll have to have it machined. This was a last minute part I didn't know I would need. So far it's holding up though.

That pole pad makes me wonder with the ski works conversion hood is going to be released.

Lol right. I ride with the pole down a lot, so I like a nice big pad. I was getting really bad back pumps with the smaller pads in the past. I'm going to have to try a fixed steer someday to see how I like it.

I only put about 5 gallons through it before I tore a callus on my hand. I'm a little bitch when it comes to hand blisters, so that ended my weekend. I felt it handled great though. Very stable, slides nicely, and the nose stays up a lot better now with the new rocker and widened front. I'm not a great rider, so I can't comment on how it flips or rolls, but it slashed nice and I pulled a few small re-entries. As soon as the nose went under, it would pop back up. Where as before, it wanted to find the bottom of the water.

As I get some more time on it I'll toss a video up.

My blister ripping open is what ended my ride too. Hanging on for dear life with a stiff and sticking throttle cable did a number on my palm.

Dude, the ski looks amazing! Great job, I love the way you added the lip to the rocker and how it all looks together. Nice work.

And also, thanks for the posting the info on the pole tubes... Very very interesting. You inspired me a long time ago to make a custom full-width ride plate using vacuum bagging for my project.... Buuuuuttttttttt making those tubes is way too intense for me (as well as most of the work you've done). Keep it up!

Come on, it has been 9 days since it got wet. Tear it down and start again, again.

I really enjoyed this ski in the surf, if he had some footholds installed, I could of easily thrown some tricks, nibble, yet still fairly stable, also has the best splash gaurd I have ever seen.
