Manifold warp?

Anyone ever have a dual R&D intake manifold warp on them? Went to install the carbs (speed plate) on the manifold and the one sits lower than the other. Everything was bolted up fine, removed to install new gaskets now won’t line up at all.

I did, I had to have it resurfaced at the auto machine shop..

Are you sure its not the speed plate that is warped......check it on on a pane of glass or kitchen granite top......happened to me when I bolted the carbs on to it.....solution was to slowly tighten each bolt on opposing sides until it seated itself perfectly flat onto the manifold

Public service announcement!

Please don’t be a dumb **** like me and not check what way your angled manifold spacers are placed. My problem is solved. That was the reason the manifold was off and twisted as one was angled up and the other down.

Hey, simple mistake, nearly had heat stroke putting this motor together that day.
