You do realize that the more torn up the vegetation on the dunes, the more likely they are to wash away in a severe storm, the more likely the house behind the dunes is to wash away.

I think we can cut the dirty birdy some slack since he likely has good reason to want intact/undamaged dunes. (Even if they're not his dunes)

Umm, yeah....about the dunes. There's not so much left in most places. The city of Surfside was collecting Christmas trees to place on whats left in order to help rebuild the dunes.
