I want to go with bigger 145mm pump for my Trinity Evo Pro build. It's a Kawasaki based hull. I got Scat Magnum setback 140mm pump now.

What you guys think- should I got one from Maxx555 or Scat Trak ?

Cons and pros. Looking to compare quality and price and what I get from eather one - pump, prop, cone ....
I know there are couple o Maxx pumps in USA. Looking to hear from people who got them.

And one more thing - will reduction nozzle from 140mm pump fit 145mm pump ? or I need to buy special for 145mm pump ?

And If somebody got one of this pumps for sale let me know.

Thanks

I'm running both... but will only buy Skat in the future...
put both in salt water for a month... then you'll know why.

Got three yami mags right here all with props and shafts / tail cones / wear rings

140skat setback 18.5 lbs
144 Max setback 16 lbs
148 skat setback 16 lbs

Stator veins on maxx are slightly thicker than skat. Close to 1mm thicker . I have not seen any rust on max and it works very well . I went skat with the 148 due to vein thickness and Optima hooking me up on price. Plan on hitting veins on max with porting tools this winter to thin them down .

Kawi Skat pumps all have 145mm stators. Liner can be bored to 142 , 144 , 145. Any good machine shop can do it , or send it to skat. They charge around $200. No need to buy new pump if you have a 140 Skat Kawi

You are right but about whole Scat pump. The one I got is stock pump with Scat stator welded in. With this one they can do 142mm maximum

If you're going the mag pump route, why would you only want to increase the size to 1mm by installing a 145mm?

I would just use the Solas 144mm mag and save some cash.

Like it said in title it's a Kawasaki based hull with Kawasaki driveline. 140mm is stock size - but you know that.

Im with you on that

im running solas mag with my dasa 1000cc and I can tell you that with the right pitch im going as high as the 155mm pump of my friend who had the same engine setup in his XFS, the difference is sooo small.

i disagree, the difference is your friend with the 155 pump doesnt have it setup correctly. and the xfs is about 40-50 lbs heavier(assuming its glass) than your bob

How do you know that is not setup correctly ??? we have tested the same dasa 1000cc in his XFS with different prop and different carbs setup.

oooooh and you already know that im 190 pound and my friends is 140 pounds !!!

I said the difference is soooo small. That does not value the money for recreationnal freestyler. Go solas and save some cash !

Ever think you might be getting more height because of your skill also, im just saying there 's always a little more to squeeze out of every boat did you try nozzle and tail cone? There's more to setup than just props the solas mag would be great for him,if it fit in a kawi
