Measure the resistance. You can buy a cheap DMM for under 5 bucks.

You want me to measure the resistance from the two terminals on the starter relay. An what reading should I be getting

No. Measure the resistance of your ground cable. Remove it from the ski first. Measure from one end to the other.
Anything more than 0.1-0.2 Ohms is far too much.

I Believe it was a combo of bad cables and a aging starter

Thanks. Ill start with the cable and see if that fixes the issue. Mine was smoking hot today after trying to get my fuel lines primed and the cable as flimsy as rope
