Microballoon Pinholes

I have been filling and shaping some damaged spots on my hull and after sanding the microballoon infused epoxy I have been left with some small pinholes. I figure I would need to fill these somehow before painting, I was thinking a very light brush or rolled coat of epoxy resin (either plain or with some cabosil) would fill the spots nicely?

Or should I just leave it? Will post pics when i get home.

Thanks all

Attached is the area I filled and shaped.

I have been using some resin filled with cabosil and a flat spreader to fill small pin holes. seems to work ok so far

With what? Seems backwards to fill with more filler if it's leaving pinholes.
ok fill them with primer then, that's kinda what it is for , you will always have pinholes with epoxy-micro balloons filler because of the outgassing of the epoxy.

Yeah dolphin glaze or evercoat glaze coat for those pesky pinholes. The Dolphin glaze is cheaper and just as good. As far as resin and fillers go,
I prefer cabosil(fumed silica) instead of microballoons, less pinholes for hard core filling.
Yes but hard core filling only , cabosil is a total b!tch to sand and it doesn't feather out nicely like microballoons do .

One trick I use with microballoons filler is to mix it up soupy and paint it on with a chip brush , in thinner coats like that you don't get nearly as many pinholes , so basically you are using it like a glazing compound.

One more trick I will throw out there , when you have pinholes like that mix up your primer and roll it on with a small foam paint roller instead of spraying it , it works itself into the pinholes that way and yes it will require a bit more sanding but it's primer , it sands very easily .

You can do this with most any primer but there are automotive primers out there made specifically for roll on application.

Eastwood Optiflow epoxy and urethane primers are two of them , if you are at the microballoons stage I would be using urethane primer.
