Mid-shaft is a miss?

Alright I bought my first superjet after building a few js550s.
but I just bought a superjet hull that had been chopped a few inches in the rear and a rocker nose in the front.

I yanked a 701 motor out of a VXR pro, and bought a superjet pump off ebay (should be coming in next week) All I need now is a mid-shaft. I can't find any superjet midshafts for sale. Is there any other ski that has the same midshaft? or if someone wants to sell me a midshaft I would be happy to buy it!

So just to make sure, there are no other waverunners that carry a midshaft that will work in a 2002 superjet. (Other than a b1)

All Superjet midshafts are the same. There was one exception: the coupler threads were smaller in diameter on '90 (and maybe '91) models. However, most of those were retrofitted early on, when Yam generously furnished low priced kits

Thanks for the information. Always good to know more. I just bought a refurbished midshaft from KMN, so that should be settled. I'm going to strip the Midshaft off my VXR pro this weekend to get the three tooth coupler. And I might as well see if it is the same length as the new superjet midshaft, just to know if I have an extra.

I didn't want my VXR to turn into a parts ski, but all good things come to an end lol

You can reuse the midshaft housing from the vxr pro, but the midshaft is too long and will need to be changed to SJ length.

Alright guys if anyone is still looking at this long series of questions... I bought a (pretty beat up) superjet pump with driveshaft off ebay for $120. I mainly bought it for the driveshaft. But now I'm here scratching my head wondering how it is going to fit?! It looks way to long!
Does anyone know how long the driveshaft should be after the impeller? mine is at 24,3/4 inchesIMG_2990.JPG IMG_2987.JPG

That is not a SuperJet driveshaft. The overall length of the shaft should be about 26" from tip of splines to rear of shaft. It looks like a VXR driveshaft (with oring burn from the midshaft and worn splines).

Unfortunately, I think you may a victim of another ebay idiot seller. There are so many yamaha parts mislisted, misidentified, etc. on ebay it is nuts.

Well that sucks. I'm contacting the guy I bought if from right now. I hope I will be able to get my money back. I've never had to return anything on ebay so I hope this works out.

Do you know of reliable place I can get a driveshaft from? Thanks for the help.
