Custom/Hybrid Midshaft for a BOB Gen 2

I went to install my motor on a gen 2 bob and have slid it all of the way to the midshaft for alignment and shimming of the motor. My holes for the bed plate won't line up to the motor mounts. One front hole fits but the back holes are just missing it by half the hole size. I'm not sure what midshaft was included with the bob but it's about 7" long. My 94 SN has a midshaft about 6.75" long from bulkhead to the end of the coupler. Will that midshaft work or will it be too short? Should I make the midshaft that came with the ski work or will it me too tight once I get the rubber piece in between the couplers?

Thanks

Looks like 2" is sticking through. The midshaft out of the SN is 6.75" long to the end of the coupler. The midshaft that came with the Bob is 7". Should I try the midshaft from the SN?

Not sure. I haven't had a chance to ride mine either. Under the hull review section of the site I saw a post for bobs. Lots of positive feedback there. I went with the bob because I got a good deal on the hull and think it's a good stepping stone into the AM world. It also gave me room for extra stuff like RRP pole, new bpipe etc. Give me a month and I'll have the ski complete with a test ride and report

Your measuring the driveshaft poking through bulkhead...flip the midshaft housing over and measure how far the shaft sticks out the back...if the bedplate bolts Are close but not right you may have to elongate them to fit
