Mikuni dual carb rebuild

I just spent over $80 and 2.5 hours rebuilding my Mikuni dual 38 carbs for one of my SuperJets. I use the original Mikuni build kits (just do not trust the OEM kits). You end up buying 2 full rebuild kits, when you only need 1 full kit and 1 not-full kit. You waste a bunch of parts, diaphragms, etc. Anyone know of a way to just get the Mikuni rebuild parts needed for the SuperJet dual carb setup?

So did you clean out the bypass holes and how many were there? I am doing the same rebuild and only see 2 bypass holes (not counting the one on the engine side of the butterfly). I want to know if I am not seeing some bypass holes....seems important ;)

I cleaned and blew out the "holes" where the filter is, the needle valve, low speed adjuster, & high speed adjuster. Did not mess with the jetting, so did not clean out those areas. I am no expert, but I think that gets most of the fuel and air pathways, including bypass holes. Happy to be corrected by someone who knows this better.

Good to know these parts are available individually! Just rebuilt mine last night and like stated you have to buy 2 full kits and then your stuck with a bunch of left over pieces.

I'm stumped with one part tho. Does this side only need the o ring is does it also need s diaphragm?

The side with the o-ring gets a diaphragm. The other side gets a gasket and a diaphragm (assuming these are 38's. 44's get another gasket).
See diagram in the attached Mikuni sbn Manual.

That side only needs the o ring because that carb setup only uses one pulse fitting.

For future reference it would cost you $32 plus shipping to rebuild those carbs with genuine mikuni parts if purchased from me.

Rdrttoy that is great. Wish I had asked before buying 2 full kits for much more $. Will look you up when I am doing my next rebuild. Have 3 SuperJets. Others, pass the word around.
