why do they paint them black with paint that inevitably comes off in tiny pieces so that when you are cleaning them those tiny pieces are all over everything tiny part you touch?
on a related note, the mikuni carb i just took off a 650 x2 i recently acquired, had a SPRING under the small black fuel filter on the pump side. ive never seen that and when i tried to remove the filter to inspect it shot across my garage and landed who knows where. wth is that spring for or is it a joke played on me by the previous owner
