does anyone know how far I can mill my head down to with out hurting my pistons?

I took .050" off my head. generated 180 PSI
take some puddy, play dough, or the like and put it on your piston and see how much more you can take off.
if you go to far you can always get a thick copper head gasket.

no, thats usually what a machine shop will take off a 4 stroke if you have had a blown headgasket.

what type of tooling did you use to take .014" off ?

I have no clue honestly I just dropped it off at the machine shop. At first when I put the head on and I tried to start my ski it would like stop and then make a weird noise then would start turning over again. When I took it on the lake it ran bettter then ever and started everytime it just took a min for the first time,.

You'll see some improvement no doubt. I'll mill this one I have on my sx now maybe I'll remember to take photos this time.
