Missing carb screw, what next!?

Your compression should be 180psi. Mine was about 190-195 until I rode it a bit then it dropped down to the 180 that Paul said it would b/c of the porting.

180 sounds right with the porting. However, why would it drop 10-15 psi during breakin?

0.007" seems to be about right clearance for a wiseco piston.

make sure that machine shop knows about forged pistons and how to clearance them.

otherwise you are going to be in for alot more fun down the road ( but not very far)

I put allot of oil in mine b/c I had the motor sit for a couple of months before installing it. Then after I would ride I would put a cap ful of oil in it. Now that the mix is around 40:1 it is all good. Before I fired the motor the compression was like 195-200.

yea he knows that you need more clearance with wisecos. he said it should be fine, but the sleeves look smooth on the bottom so he was just worried that they were knocking too much. i'm sure Paul knows more about this than this guy too, and he's the one that bored them. i'm not worried about it, i've only got one bore left, then it's on to a big bore. :cool2:

i took the dome to the guy that honed the cylinder, and he looked at it and said it's fine. it's visibly scratched pretty bad, but if you run your finger along it, it's very very hard to feel anything.

yea i haven't looked in the waterbox yet, but since the screw made it to the top of the piston there's no way it went back down to the crank, so it's either in the waterbox or in the lake.
