Mod b pipe, exit at weird angle??

Hey guys so when I went to put a b pipe in that I bought used of the forums I couldn't help but notice that it was pinching my 45° elbow hose, I am new to Yamahas and didn't think much of it, well I cut up the elbow with a razor blade to try to get it to not be kinked but it still seems odd, I pulled the tank and the pipe out today to realize what looks like the end of the pipe right after the stinger seems like it is facing the outside of my hull, what's your opinion and how can I fix it?

Lools like it was dropped or damaged in shipping...

Actually looks like someone cut it and welded it like that maybe for a different hull

Well I'm already gonna need a new elbow hose, do you think I need to cut the end of the pipe at an angle?

I would cut and weld straight how it's suppose to be..

Or you could try and find a longer 90°
Hose at a auto parts store that would form to the angle of the pipe...

I would just get it cut so its done right. someone cut and welded it at a stupid angle.

That's how the early chambers were made, later ones have since been straightened out

That's right. Don't know why they did that 20 years ago. I used to cut the stinger off, miter and reweld straight.

My ski is at ski clinic in Antioch getting some carb work done and a new elbow hose, hopefully they can fit it on
