Modding 08+ waterbox.

Ok, so now we know the 08+ box has one less hole!

That 08+ looks identical to a 96-07 box.

The 701 raider and 760 boxes have bigger ID through tubes. That’s for less back pressure (for less heat) in the heavier sit down application. Maybe the 08 box has longer tubes for resonance issues?

Measure the SJ box tubes. Should be 25mm?

Oh, my bad, missed that. They do look the same. I drilled two 17mm holes. That should get me between 25 and 31% more flow that I desire. No idea if the holes are more or less efficient than the tubes.

Thanks. It’s the Kawasaki sxr800 that has 25mm tubes.

Got it all finished. Hopefully I nailed it on the hole size thing. I have everything, gonna install the motor tonight if all goes well.
