Anybody using this battery with TL and over 200 compression?????
DEKA ETX12 12v 10Ah 180 CCA AGM Sealed Lead Battery Replaces YTX12-BS


Would like some feedback. Need something I can run 2 tanks of gas out running TL and bilge. But needs to be SHORT.

I use a etx-9 with 195 compression and tl and get about 5 gallons.

yeah, I knew the 9 would not be enough, nice and compact but would have to have 2 a switch them out mid ride, not gonna do that, I will loose 5# first lol.

i'm just about to fit tl and thought you could get a whole day of riding out off a battery ?

You can if you use a normal sized battery.

correct, there are lots of Deka and odyssey batteries you can get 2 + tanks of gas from. But in my situation I have to have a short battery, would not be an issue if it were not for TL. I think this Deka 12 is gonna be fine. Just figured I would see if anyone has used it before with simular setups.
The Odesssey 545 is pretty much the same specs and close to same size (little bigger) so if you have used one of those it would help to know as well.

Review on the Deka EXT12. Holds up great through 2 and more tanks of fuel running TL & 225 compression. So I made some stainless battery boxes that fit the 12 perfect with a layer of turf glued on inside for nice cushy snug fit. Going to pull a mold (well, with Toby's help) off one of the stainless boxes and make some from carbon as well. Maybe another new 615 product coming soon. The Deka 12 is powerfull and compact and relatively cheap as well and a must for some of the aftermarket hulls that run the battery under the exhaust tube behind the carbs (Q8 and ROK) to name a few. We are now a Deka dealer and are carrying the 9 /12 /14/ 15 and 16 in stock if you do not have a place local to pick one up then hit me up. Not sure what Freight will be on them yet but cost on most of the above batteries will be $69.00 from us, plus frt and pp fees. They deliver to us every Monday. The 14 & 15 will fit in the new tray as well, just needs padded differently. Tray not availible yet as I only had 4 made for the local boyz so far.
