More bottem end power

Considering getting a 760 cylinder and head and sending it to Group K to have it ported and put it on my blaster to run pump fuel. Looking for more bottom end for surf riding to get the ski out of the water more. I am stuck riding rivers a lot but am more into surf so I am thinking it will help. Has to still be runable at the top end of the throttle with out blowing up. Any suggestions or experience?

Right now I just have a port matched cylinder that is a few bores over 82mm, mod pipe, true bored carbs, angled reed spacer, reeds, and stuffers. I had a 35mm ADA head but it is off right now.

Do you homework on proper porting. Group k did my 701 but I lost low end. Ask them about porting it for the way you ride it. At the time mine was done I knew very little and thought a good port job would be good all around considering how bad the port windows are on a yami 701.

Is it just a regular yami top end or has it be modded to run flat top pistons? TPE did my old 760 this way and it was an awesome motor (still is too).

If you want more low end stay with the 61x cylinder and port it. 760 cylinder has higher port timing and less low end.

Get rid of the reed spacer and that will help your low end as well. Reed spacers increase crankcase volume which lowers low end response.

I dont have the money to do a whole engine or any reason too. Right now it is a regular yami top end nothing but port matched and bored over. I think its like 2 bores over 82mm if I remember right. Seems like most of my reading and replies are to stay away from 760 for bottom end. I wish I had the money to just do a full on TPE or Dasa but even if I did I am afraid it would not be able to go more then 200 yards from the ramp. I need to be able to still do long distance cruise type riding since I am stuck with the river most of the time.
