More SXR questions

Does the SXR need reinforcing if im gonna use it in the surf, nothing crazy, just come average wave jumps ect. Also how much more fuel do they use compared to a SJ, how long will I get out of a tank on the SXR?

Not really, it is a tank. It will get some stress cracks, but nothing to worry about. Stock the fuel usage is very close, maybe an extra liter per hour over the SJ. It depends how you are on the throttle in the surf.

sxr can get holes blown through, but it takes from 20 plus feet of gunwale smashing to do it. stress cracks more than a RN but out of the box pretty close to surf ready. Superjet needs about 2k worth of stuff and 100 hours of labor to get ready. i know. i m doing it right now.

My gas tank average is about 2.5 hours. My best was more than 3.5 hours, it depends on how gas-friendly your finger is.

I'm heavy on the gas too...I'm lucky if I get 2. No need to reinforce unless your jumping like in Matt's pic....and landing sideways or under-rotating rolls. Basically, throw some bars, a bilge and some footstraps/footholds and your ready to rip surf.

what? 3.5 hours running? i've never got more than 2.

I got more than 3.5 hours from cruising around my lake without doing any stunts or whatnot.

and thats with a factory pipe that gives more mpg.

Whaaa? :poke: The more power any motor can make, the more gas it will suck in. The factory pipe is supposed to give your jet more power, so it will suck in more gas for more power.

I believe it will travel farther on the same amount of gas traveling at the same speed....however, most people ride alot faster when they get a pipe.
