Super Jet Motor alignment question on rn sj.

So the motor is shimmed correctly but the horizontal is off. The spacing in the coupler on the right side is just shy of 1/16 wider then the left. Is this something i should be worried about of should I leave it. The motor was just put in over the winter then I bought the ski so it was never run like this.

If I was to work on it I would just slide it into place but I don't want to if I don't have to. I can't get to the bolt under the b-pipe so that will have to come out. If I have to no big deal.

I think it should be okay to run and see if you get a vibration. You would be surprised how little vibration you get from being quite a bit off. Probably a little extra wear on the midshaft housing though. Also try just moving the motor around a bit on the mounts until you get a better fit and tighten everything down.

I recently bought a ski (99sj with 760, b pipe, head, etc) and ran it for several months and it was fine. Then I replaced the midshaft housing and when we went to re shim it I ended up addling like 8-12 additional shims to get it lined up right (using a proper feel er guage). Does not feel any different even though it must have been WAY off before.
