I've had something kinda like this happen.

My 550 ate 1 of the choke plate screws. Didn't do anything but put some crap in the ring seat (on the #1 piston) making the ring not seat right and lead to complete loss of compression on that cylinder.
Well, it did bend the bottom of the piston, but that's not bad since the rest of the piston was perfect.


Luckily all I had to do was reseat the ring.

What happened to you sucks! There's no worse feeling that what's felt when a problem's encountered that coulda been avoided.

I have a stock head for a 701 that you can have. I got it free, so you'll get it free if you want it. Trust me, I know how you're feeling. I was there more than once & that was just this year.

damn, nick! I feel your pain. We'e all done someting stupid. It is where we go from there that determines or character and success.

put out a list of what you need and maybe people will donate. If i have anything you need, i'll give it up for free. It looks like i may never get my RN from florida from sean (crazyass911)....good luck nick!

Hey Nick,

Sorry to hear about your ski troubles.
I know exactly where you're coming from. I was one half step away from selling everything ski-related just a couple months ago.
In January, I had to re-do my RN hull because it had leaked. Again.
Then I found my SN hull to be leaking, after only one year.
Then I found out that my new (to me) Big Bore cylinder needed $450 worth of work and parts to make it run. I sold a gun and some other stuff to make it happen.
In July, I blew up my bigbore engine in my Roundnose, for the fifth time in 2 years. I
I was out of money and very frustrated.
Char stopped me from selling it all. I already had the pictures taken. LOL.

I did end up not riding for most of the summer, with Blowsion being the exception (even though that was very tainted).
I sold everything but my RN hull, took a side job fixing other people's skis, and sent a bunch of parts to Jetworks to put me a BB motor together.
I was tired of messing things up myself, so I decided to take some time off and let a pro do it.
It was good to take some time off, to find out what's important in life, and to figure out the big scheme o things.
I just resigned myself to not riding for a season and getting a bigger, meaner, more reliable engine next season.
Working my little side business helped me get the money that much quicker.

As far as the ski...sell a gun or two and if you need Wiseco parts, I can get them for dealer cost for ya.
