Blaster motor cutting out at high speeds

ok first off I let a friend ride my b1 the other day ...( wont do that again ) ..and as he was wide open ..the motor cut out likeu pulled the landyard ..so I was riding it and just was romping around u know not full throttle and nothing but then I gave it full throttle for about two mins .same thing ...its like u pulled the landyard ..just flat out die ...i pulled the carb and cleaned it didnt look bad ..and put it back together..and other thoughts

I also thought the needle and seat were not working properly...or I was running all the gas out of the bowl ..but when I did the cleaning it looked like it had gas in the carb ...im lost

did you check the fuel line filter and the internal filter on the carb. the internal one can clog quite quickly. also whats you jetting settings for top end and high end needle setting. could be starving it for fuel. check the fuel pump too.

If it cut out like you pulled the lanyard, the problem is more than likely electrical and not fuel related. I would suspect the start/stop switch.

I was thinking the same but the start/stop switch ..seams to be working fine at low speeds I would think all the jumping and turning at low speeds would kill it cuz its moving more than going stright ....has anyone had probs with the coil maybe getting to hot ??? ...but I would think if its a coil it would just go out or be weak ..and run like crap at start up or low speed ..

Is the temp sensor still hooked up? Maybe the cooling ins't working right and it is cutting out because its over heating.

I also thought that but wouldnt it go into ..what I allways thought would be limp mode ???..u know the motor doing the duh duh duh thing and not reving out if it was hot but still running

Does it start right up after or have trouble? Have you done any work to it in the time leading up to this happening?

no doesnt start right up after it dies ...one time I just kept cranking and cranking and boom back fire threw the pipe so I beleave im getting gas but let it set for a lil while and back to ridin but cuts out a lil faster the next go around but let it set over night and u can get a good ride out of it ..no work has been done at all in about 2 years

its got to be in the spark some were ...i guess I need to cut back my wires and rescrew my plug wires ..if not I guess I need to get a coil ..but like the one guy said I need to check my start/stop too ..just didnt know if this has happend to anyone eles ..so I could just fix one prob instead of checking all my electrical stuff

Did you ever solve your problem? My fx just started doing this exact same thing this weekend. Engine would just die out of the blue then struggle to start. Give it a few minutes and it would start up again but get on the throttle a few time and it would die mid rev and die like the tether was pulled.
