Super Jet motor mount failure help

Location

All,

Investigating excessive vibration from my SJ motor at idle, I've found that I have 2 failed motor mounts on the left side of the ski. I'm hoping to get help with a couple questions:

In the pics below, I've stuck a screwdriver where the failure is. Basically, the rubber piece is bolted to the motor, and the lower part is bolted to the hull; however, when I try and tilt the motor, it lifts up just below the rubber piece. Both left side mounts have this same failure. if this helps, I tried to loosen the bolt that goes through the rubber mount and it just spins - it does not loosen.

1. What part(s) do I need to buy to repair this?
2. Any idea on what caused failure or common things to check?
3. If I'm going to be replacing mounts - is there a common sense upgrade that I should consider?

Thanks for the help!
Anthony

At some point you probably landed the ski on its side and the mounts failed. What you have to do is get a pair of vise grips to hold the top part of the mount to keep it from spinning while you are removing the bolt. As far as an upgrade, some use OEM couch mounts which are beefier than regular SJ mounts. There are also Rhass mounts that are very strong.

On a side note, if your pipe is rubbing the bed plate by the front left motor mount, grind it down or you will rub a hole in the pipe chamber.
