I bought a 760 cylinder and have to put heli coils in to size the bolts down to except the 61x exhaust manifold bolts but I have no idea where to get these or how to do it. Any help is greatly appreciated and hope everyone is having a good weekend.

thought you needed insert for that . didn't know helicoils were thick enough to reduce the diameter that much.

Rather than buying a helicoil set, look for a set of studs that will reduce it for you at half the cost. Here's what I'm running in my 62T cylinder. I found these locally at an Ace Hardware.

I'm going to give the helicoils a try and if they don't hold I will definitely go the stud rout.

You can also use timeserts. I prefer them over helicoils.

The 8mm helicoils install without drilling in the 10mm holes- both have same thread pitch- and they will certainly "hold".

You just need the m8 helicoil inserts, no drill or tap required. They screw right in.

Yea I found that out after I bought it. But good thing is me and my dad (nvjay775) we can always use more tools, never know when all that stuff will come in handy one day.

Probably sooner than later with jet skis. Make sure to clean holes well, then use red loctite when installing the the inserts.
