Other Movie review thread

I think I am the only person in the free world who didn't like Fast 7. I get it that you have to turn off a certain amount of your brain to watch a movie like that, but with that much turned off, I should have been in a coma.

I will give them credit, they did a nice job with the Paul Walker send off.

8 Days til Avengers!

I felt the original Fast And Furious was an insult to anyone who knew anything about cars.

I felt the second one was an insult to anyone who know anything.

I've passed on the rest so far.

We watched Exodus: Gods and Kings this past weekend and didn't care for it one bit. I'm not well versed on the whole Moses story but the thing made absolutely no sense at all. All it did was convince me that he was hit in the head a few too many times and suffered from schizophrenia.

OK, who saw Avengers? I took my nephew and brother in laws on Thursday night. Thought it was pretty good. Maybe not quite as good as the first one, but pretty dang good none the less. More action packed than the first one. Definitely sets up phase 3.

Awe come on Scott , this one was way better than the first one. A couple things that stood out for me was NO SHAKEY CAMERA CRAP !!!!! and no blurry quick camera angle changing fight scenes where you cant tell whats going on. As a matter of fact the fight scenes were mostly in slow motion. But this is the last one for this director so lets see how the next two come out.

I hope star wars doesnt have crazy shakey blury quick camera changing fight scenes. But we know who the director is so that wont happen. Shakey blury fight scenes are like turfing over your crappy glass work.

Please please please spend your money on something other than the new Madmax! Holy crap it is on my top 3 worst movies of all time. Unwatchable garbage IMO.

I must be getting old because the oddest movies are appealing to me lately. Normally "Unbroken" would have never held my attention but I found myself riveted to it the entire way. How hungry do you have to be to grab a shark by the tail and drag it into a rubber raft with you? That part killed me, lol.

I agree man...great movie. And the older I get the more I like movies based on some kind of reality...or even a true story better yet....

I was excited to see Inglorious Bastards on netflix. Its been a while since I watched it. Its one of my favorite war movies. Too bad the war didnt end the way Tarantino said lol.

MadMax - story was meh..... but, the special effects were incredible with next to zero CGI (which was awesome) I liked the movie, but I don't see how critics are falling all over themselves for it?

Tomorrowland - didn't care for it

Netflix - anyone watch Daredevil????? If not, give it a try, REALLY good. Don't pass it up because of the Afflect movie that was just a dumpster fire.

We watched "The Gamber" last night. We were both lost from start to finish and in the end we just sat there shaking our heads saying, "WTF just happened?". I am far too logical to "understand" anything about gambling or gamblers so those types of movies never appeal to me.

Best gambling move is "Rounders".
